Sugar Free Crumble

Crumble is the perfect autumn dessert (and, honestly, every-season dessert). But when apples are at their best... it feels almost essential. Sweet, tangy, squidgy, and crunchy, it hits every craving in one comforting spoonful.

There’s something deeply grounding about a crumble. The scent alone — sweet fruit bubbling under a golden, buttery topping — feels like a hug for the senses. It’s the kind of pudding that doesn’t ask for perfection; just a spoon and dig in.

Real ingredients, real comfort, real joy.

So, grab those apples, breathe in the warmth, and let this crumble be a small, delicious reminder to pause, nourish, and fill your cup — one bite at a time.

INGREDIENTS
  • 6-8 Apples (roughly chopped)

  • 150g Blueberries

  • 3 Dates

  • 2 Cups Oats

  • 1 Cup Desiccated Coconut

  • Pinch of Salt

  • 3 Tbsp Coconut Oil

METHOD

1: Chuck your chopped apples, dates and any other fruit you want to add into a pan and cook down until soft.

2: Whilst this is reducing, add to a mixing bowl the oats, desiccated coconut, and salt then mix, after that add the coconut oil and fully integrate it with the dry mix - I suggest using your hands for this!

3: Once the fruit is soft pour it in your final dish and then layer on your oats and coconut mix. Pat down

4: Cook in the oven for 30mins at 180c and once cooked, serve with cream of your choice.

NOTES

1. Rhubarb, apricots, pears all great additions or substitutions for the fruits. Start trying them and find your magic combo.

2. We use coconut yogurt as our cream and it works beautifully.

Tip: The aim is not to cook until the oats have dramatically changed colour, just a slight change is enough... trust me.

WHY DO I WRITE ABOUT THIS...

I’ve lived through it. I understand how it feels to want a radical life change but not know where to start. Feeling trapped by exhaustion, self-doubt, and confusion. I’ve felt the weight of wanting more from life but not having the energy or motivation to pursue it. I believe that feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and trapped shouldn't be normal.
